MTU, a branch of German DaimlerChrysler Corporation for the propelling system of diesel engine, is the first-class heavy-duty diesel manufacturer in the world. The products have been widely used in military vehicles, railway vehicles, cross-country vehicles, maritime naval vessels and power stations (including uninterruptible back-up power stations). Early in 1883, the former of MTU developed the first high-speed gas engine for vehicle use. In 1901, it designed and manufactured the world well-known Mercedes. Afterwards, it has developed various kinds of high-class luxurious vehicle models and engines. Since 1909, it has manufactured airplane engines. From 1923, it started to produce high-class diesel engines. Up to now, the engines production have exceeded 174000 sets. Its customers are all over the world.
